Adressing Problems - Naming Problems - Solving Problems

„We do not know any problems but tasks and challenges“, is a worthy motto of every innovative business. Within the field of Passive House Development such companies can be found to a large extent. Nonetheless, we should feel free to name and approach new tasks and challenges as early as possible. It is one basic precondition for any method of resolution, making every endeavour within our capabilities to find the right answers.

It is this constructive motto that has made the `Idea of Passive Houses` what it is today: Not just another idea – but a motor of innovation in the building business. Next to big industrial companies, a number of small and medium-seized businesses operate in the field of Passive Houses. At each Conference on Passive Houses new techniques and elements have been introduced, even when it was said to be not possible, too expensive or sheer utopistic.

Passive House innovations are feasible innovations. For new buildings as well as the modernisation of old ones. It is highly efficient energy technology, used here and now to help mastering the tasks of the future.

The Passive House Concept is important for developing...

thermal bridge free slabs and joints

... vital innovations.

We want to proceed further on this road by using collected experiences and data of the thousands of projects and an infinite stream of ideas to make energy-efficient building still more easy, versatile and attractive.

Working group no.4: Innovation from research and development-building technology and building shell.

It is the actual task that leads to new approaches, methods of implementation and products. If the Passive House Concept is applied to more different types of buildings, climates and constructions, new tasks will become more and more diverse. Such new tasks, especially, are an immediate stimulus for further development.
